My best friend has MS and has since before she was pregnant. While she was pregnant her MS symptoms weren't nearly as bad. She would get the occasional numbness in her legs but nothing that she couldn't handle. After having her daughter her symptoms just kept getting worse. She has had to get disability due to not being able to work and she has a handicap sticker and a walker because she cannot walk long distances. She is unable to shave her legs due to the amount of pain it causes her. Her neurologist said that this was probably all caused in some part due to the pregnancy. She said it would have eventually gotten worse on it's own but the pregnancy kind of sped up the process.

MS varies during pregnancy. In general during pregnancy people are "protected" from exacerbations and after pregnancy exacerbations may increase (negating the benefit during pregnancy).

You should discuss the option of treatment with Copaxone through pregnancy (and while you are trying to get pregnant) with your doctor. Copaxone is a Pregnancy class B drug (felt to be safe), Interferons are class C drugs (felt to be unsafe).

Good luck.
