I can certainly understand your concerns. I've gone through a similar situation and I was also put on Paxil and than Lexapro. I had gone though a laundry list of physical problems and my doctor was convinced that I was having anxiety and panic attacks. After four months, i was still experiencing physical problems. I had TMJ (jaw clicking), sleep patterns was never normal and I would have general aches and pains. I felt like my entire body was falling apart. I was so discouraged. It was only after some additonal testing, they had found that my hormones was extremely low and I also suffer from severe sleep apnea.

I certainly don't want to discourage you from fighting, but it did take a few months to sort it all out. I had my sleep apnea addressed and I started to take hormone replacements. Little by little, I started to feel better.

I suggestion. Hang in there. Maybe it a hormone imbalance and the doctor will be able to help you get your life back.

I hope this helps you, Please take care of yourself.

Find another doctor or if you don't mind go back to the one who put you on the Paxil and demand to have a full Thyroid Function Test done.

It sounds a hell of a lot like hypothyroidism to me.

Do you feel the cold easily? Have heavy periods?

Once you are on thyroxine for a couple of months most of the symptoms would have eased. But after about 9 days you will be feeling more motivated.
